I'm becoming concerned that I may have gone into the wrong profession. I just don't have any good ideas to inspire young minds and that's a danger to both of us. The last two days went rather well but I want something to go amazingly well so I know I'm doing the right thing. Sometimes I think that will never come.

I can emulate a lesson taught by another teacher ... I cannot create my own lessons and have them work anywhere near as well.

:-(

you know, they have books for that... teaching ideas, and such... look into it.

Think of classes that you really didn't like and how the teachers tried to make them interesting to you. If the teachers didn't do a good job at keeping your interest, try to think of a way they could have done better, and apply it to your class.

When I tutor people that's how I think of it.. maybe that will help.

You are just starting out. Everyone has to learn to teach. And what may not work with one class will work with another. Timing, placement, and willingness are a HUGE part of the puzzle. Dont worry. Do what you can now. Ask the teacher you are working with for suggestions. And just have confidence and faith. It will all come together. This is what you wanted. It just takes time.
