I finished my caramel corn that Emily gave me from Maryland. I think I shall give the tub back to them so they can refill it for cheaper for me (I'll give them the money of course) Teehee ... I hear her father is going down around Labor Day so that'd be the perfect opportunity. :: grins ::
Anyway, I'm kind of kidding about that, I wouldn't expect him to refill my bucket when he goes down unless he wouldn't mind it.
So I start teaching soon. Pretty crazy stuff (no, not an actual job, just my student teaching). I'm still a bit confused about the whole thing. I know I have that orientation thing but I don't know what else is going on. :: scratches head ::
So I think I haven't posted in a while and I also think I don't know why that is. I do know that Emily's laptop is a lot more trashed than it should be (yes, it's drunk ... shut up). It seems to have nonstop problems. If I were them, I'd give Dell a call and give them lots of crap about their shady laptop that doesn't function very well. As Emily says, it appears her mother is cursed to destroy every computer she touches without actually doing anything wrong.
What else what else ... hmm. Well, Sunday marks the last day of Musikfest. While Emily and I had initially intended to drive to the beach that day, plans are slowly changing. I now believe we will be going to my cousin Jenna's birthday party and then to Musikfest to enjoy ourselves and watch fireworks. I can't believe Musikfest is going to be over already though. Last year I went almost every day and it was just peachy. Of course, I also went with quite an assortment of people last year and this year people were on vacations and such so it was a bit more restricted there.
You know, speaking of one year ago, a lot has changed in the past year. I can't even pretend that I'll be able to go into detail because that's just not going to give it justice. Think about your life a year ago. Has a lot changed? It seems to have with me. I'm not taking "classes" in the fall persay. I have no history classes to worry about, no books to buy. Overall it's going to be a cheap semester. Also, some people are heading off to college. No more high school for them. It's off to the real schooling. Oh man I have a feeling some people are going to be in for a shock. I know I was. No matter what they try to do in high school, it just isn't enough to prepare you for college. I survived, they will too, but the journey from point A to B is going to be a blast.
So ... Emily's cute. I don't know if you all noticed that but if you didn't, be sure to take notice the next chance you get. :-)
Oh! I now have Cingular instead of Verizon Wireless. Do not worry, I carried my phone number over from Verizon so the number has not changed. I must say, my initial impression of Cingular is very strong. I have yet to drop a call and I've been able to place and receive calls anywhere I've been including anywhere in my house and anywhere inside Regal. A marked improvement from Verizon where I had to stand in abnormal positions to get signal ...
I think that should be a commercial for Cingular. Have a guy standing on one leg with one arm in the air trying to talk on their cell phone. Have another person walk along and glance oddly at the one-legged, arm-raised individual. Cut to "Cingular -- the easier way to talk on a phone." I like it at least so you can all shhhh. Thanks.
My leg still hurts from three weeks ago. I'm very excited about that I must say. It seems that I may have to go to the doctor for him to check out. I just don't want to deal with the pain anymore and I really shouldn't have to in all honesty. We live in a day and age where I can get it fixed.
I also didn't mention this earlier but I talked to Donovan McNabb the other day at Regal. He came in to check out movie times and I helped him out with movies and such. No, it wasn't a heart to heart conversation but what would you expect it to be? The fact still remains that I talked to him. Quite exciting if I do say so myself, and I do. Of course, he's still just a person but it's neat to talk to a "celebrity" of sorts. At least I think so. Oh, for those that may not know who Donovan McNabb is, he's the Quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.
I think that's all I have for now. Football season starts up soon and I just can't believe how much faster the years go as I progress through life. Phew. OK, have a good evening.
