Fantastic Four came out today. I'll be interlocking it tonight to a second theatre ... should be interesting to (hopefully) succeed at this feat. For those that don't know what interlocking is and have not read my description before, essentially we take one print of a film and run it across two projectors. It probably isn't the safest thing ever but many theatres do it and so does ours. Jeff does this to try to rake in a bit of extra money. My issue with this theory is while we get about 20 or 30 more people into Fantastic Four, we lose money on Rebound patrons and (if we cancel the last show of Land of the Dead) Land of the Dead patrons. I don't know if that is necessarily the best course of action. I'd be more inclined to think we should have it in our big house and interlock from a big house to that second house if we manage to sell out the first one. We'd need to set it up for interlock but it'd be more profitable. We could have Dark Water in theatre 4 and both War of the Worlds in smaller theatres since the attendance levels will undoubtedly drop by 50% or more this week. Ah well, what can you do?
Anyway, so inventory turned out OK except for high spoilage numbers. People really must begin to tell me when we have case shortages and concession discrepancies. I do not know if people do not share the information with me. I'm the concession manager, please tell me. Thank you :-)
OK, all done for now. Have a marvelous day.
