So what have I been up to? That's an excellent question if I do say so myself. I do too ... since this is my blog.
Well, a lot of bowling for sure. I went bowling Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night. All so very exciting. I didn't do so well but I had fun so that's OK.
Emily has nurse camp this week so I don't get to see her much :-( Very sad, I know. The good news is Friday is 1 month and we're going to go to Olive Garden among other things. I'm not entirely sure what we will be doing yet but we'll figure it out.
Saturday and Sunday are Gretchen and Chris's graduation parties (in their respective orders). Again, excitement is in abundance. Emily and I will be going to Gretchen's party actually, to be more specific.
I bought a new video card for my computer. My old card had officially become obsolete so it needed to be upgraded. I'm not positive if it is in complete working order yet (I have to try out that one game again since last time it froze my entire computer). I did install it though and it actually runs the game where my other card just laughed at me. I'd see the old card on ebay to make some money back but it'd only sell for ten dollars or so ... what's the point? I've never sold anything on ebay anyway.
So ... what else could I possibly have to say? Life seems to be going pretty well. I'm a bit nervous for the fall but as long as I go in prepared, I should come out fine. That's the hope at least.
I saw Chicago this evening after bowling. Tiff has it so I went to her house and watched it. It's quite good. I like the way they portrayed everything. I never saw the play but I can picture how they would do it quite easily ... so I suppose that means the movie did a good job of reflecting the quality of the play. Perhaps moreso than even Phantom of the Opera (which is not to say that Phantom was bad). I liked Phantom as well ... I just think Chicago portrayed it all a bit better (versus the play).
So what else what else? My birthday is quickly approaching. I've had requests to have a party but parties cost money and I don't know whether I want to have a big deal for it.
Mike B. just send me this link so take a look. It's quite funny in my opinion. It's pot flavored lollipops. First of all, who likes to chew on weed? Secondly, it doesn't cause a high so what's the benefit to it? It just seems humorous to me ... almost like something you'd find in Spencers.
I guess I should list the must-see movies that I can vouch for so far this summer. Well for certain, we have Cinderella Man and Batman Begins. Both of these blew my mind away when I watched them. Cinderella Man is such a great story and Batman Begins was so well done. Those are the two definite watches in my book. I do plan on seeing Fantastic Four and will be more than happy to tell you whether that is a must-see or not when I'm back from it. It comes out July 8th so I have time. Until then ... maybe War of the Worlds will be good. Steven Spielberg has let me down very few times so I don't think he's going to screw up a book to movie adaptation (he did well with Jurassic Park although The Lost World was a bit of a tragedy on film).
My computer is doing this strange thing where it thinks every few seconds. It does not make sense and causes concern to me from time to time. Well, what can ya do? Huh? Nothing.
Today was a strange day for speaking. I was with Gretchen at Wendy's and just found myself unable to put a sentence together. It was quite tragic ... even for my standards. Gretchen even said, "what the heck is wrong with you today?" Who knows? Maybe my brain has dropped off into super dumb mode (I know I know ... "you've been there for years Chuck." Haha, you're a riot).
Pshooooooooo ... I guess that's it for today. Have a pleasant evening.
