I was thinking a bit too much today and realized that we never get to be this age again. Tomorrow we'll be a day older. We'll never be able to turn around and go, "that's enough!" and stop. We're going to continue to age. With all the drama going around at this time, I have to remind people that these are the best times of our lives. We are young. We SHOULD BE carefree. We should be thinking about going to college ... thinking about getting a job. We're worrying about the petty things. Sure, they don't seem petty to us but when you think about it, they are. Are these things going to affect us a year from now? Probably not. What will affect us? Well, our college choice will decide where we live. Our career choice decides how much money we make and how much we enjoy our jobs. Marriage to the woman/man you love. These little squabbles mean nothing. As such, I don't believe they should actually irritate anyone because it's not worth the energy to worry about them.
What a thought, huh? I'm guilty of this too ... I worry about something that has little importance in my life (in the grand scheme of things). Oh no! I have a date on Saturday! Welp, yes ... but this one date isn't going to change anything about you. If it goes poorly, nothing will change. If it goes well, nothing will change for quite a while unless it REALLY goes well. What's really important? Those friends we have. Those friends we've made in the past. The choices we're going to make regarding the major sections of our life. What to eat tonight is not a major concern. Yelling at someone is not a useful tool because it won't change anything. Eh, this is my two cents on it ... granted ... but there is nothing we're doing right now (except school and college) that is worth truly worrying about. Doing well in school and college should be our top priority, shouldn't it? I think so. That is what will make the difference. Not who is spreading rumors. Not who is friends with who right now. Don't worry about it! Worry about what will affect tomorrow, not what will affect today only (I use today and tomorrow in a metaphorical sense).
In other news, on HotorNot.com I currently have a 9. To be honest, I'm very surprised and don't expect my score to hold at that level but we shall see (I put a new photo on so it erased my last score, which was 8).
Well, that's all for today. Just some stuff on the mind although I don't really blame people for being worried about things ... it's just silly when you really think about it. At least when I think about it it is ...
