I would like to offer my thanks and congratulations to Gretchen for the great trip to Eastern State Penitentiary. It was fannntastic ... and scary too. I jumped a bit and fake screamed to scare myself. Fun times. My right hear ... which is kind of like ear ... is ringing because Kevin screamed directly into it. I don't know if he heard but my eardrums were like, "thank you ... thanks." So ... yeah, it's useless.
I want to go to the Penitentiary to do the historic tour during the day. It's a really cool place without the frights and such and I would have loved to see Al Capone's room. They have it all done up and such.
Oh, I wanted to mention to Chris M. that the "tunnel" wasn't something you crawl on so that was one thing that he wouldn't have had to worry about.
The place was so cool though that I could have focused on the coolness and I wouldn't have been scared at all ... although I wanted to be.
They always get you at these kinds of things though. We got in the penitentiary and we were like, "alright, we're ready" and then this lady goes, "45 minute to hour wait in the line, quick pass has no line if you want to pay the extra." Of course, we hate lines and do not have the convenience of waiting in line so we got the quick pass. That was the same at Jason's Woods when we didn't wanna wait for 1 1/2 hours and for Shocktober Fest when we didn't have the luxery of waiting again. I kind of like not waiting in lines though and the extra money is worth it so I think they know how to get ya.
My eyes are burning because I'm tired. I pray everyone felt safe while driving with me. I was becoming anxious while trying to find I76 W to go back home because there was one sign, which appeared to point to nothing when in actuality it points to a tunnel ... SO I had to loop around and try again, this time more successfully. Of course THEN there was no sign for 76W that I could see so I drove around Philly a bit more. Hopefully Gretchen didn't get in trouble ... I even ran to my car with minimal stopping (I'm out of shape). Anyway, I was saying, "F" a lot, which is a big thing for me. We made it home though at it was 10:45PM so I think Gretch will be OK. That was my big concern ... I was stressing quite a bit about it.
So otherwise my day was fine. I did my classwork for the only class I have classwork in ever. I hung with Jared and Melissa -- we went to The Cup (Bethlehem Dairy Store) and got some ice cream. They didn't rip me off this time, which was courteous of them.
Oh, back to the penitentiary ... I was standing there and they stopped us (which was bad but good because it made us in front so we could wet ourselves) and we were standing there and he was smiling and staring at me. Jared goes, "I think he's going to kill you" and I go, "they can't touch us, don't worry." The guy goes to me, "The actors can't touch you ... I can" and then he grins. At this point I go, "psssssss" only it wasn't me talking ........ just joking, but I wanted to pee except my bladder was empty. OK, lied again ... but it was funny.
I took the van down because we had 6 people and it would have been silly to take 2 cars for that. We didn't see Shawn or Sean or any of their friends down there so I question if they even went. In any case, it was a good time. We had 6 people as I mentioned and they were: Gretchen, Jared, Melissa R., Matt O., Kevin, and ... oh, haha ... myself. Geez. Woo. Thought I forgot someone there. That hurt my brain. :: blushes and runs away ::
I got complimented on my driving though by Melissa so that was nice. At least my driving is appreciated by some people :-)
So Chris M., and Megan B. were stink heads and didn't go. Yeah, that's right, I called the two of you stink heads. What ya gonna do, huh? That's right ... bring it! I don't know who else was invited so I can't yell at anyone else ... not that anyone else reads this blog for me to yell at them so oh well. Good times.
Thanks again, Gretchen.
Night everyone!
