I believe licenses should be taken away if people begin to drive less competently. I was driving home from school today and someone was by far the poorest sober driver I have ever seen. They would stop randomly, go slow on onramps (note: onramps are a time to accelerate to get onto the highway). This person also felt it necessary to stop before getting on the highway rather than accelerating. You NEVER stop before going on the highway ... ever. The whole idea of the onramp is to get enough momentum to be able to merge smoothly on! Geez.
Oh, that reminds me of something I saw earlier today. It was ridiculous. I was getting on the funky looking onramp to get on 309 (which quickly becomes 78W) and someone is stopped trying to get on the highway. The kicker is the ... ok, I gotta illustrate this. The highway represents the long line and the other line represents how the person planned on merging.

OK, now tell me, how do you plan to merge on such an angle? You have to go parallel to the highway and then veer over into one of the lanes. Evidently this person was afraid to do so because the onramp is also the offramp for 78E which they did not want to go on. Another example of someone who needs to have their license taken away due to incompetence. Bah.
So it seems that I will be sitting here tonight doing some school work and not having a good time. I may call people but I do need to get this schoolwork done. We're having steak tonight for dinner so that should be good.
OH! Some of you would be very proud of me ... or shocked as in Laura's case may be. I had a chicken caesar salad for dinner last night. Come to think of it, I may have blogged about this already but I'm excited so I'll post it again. Did I enjoy it? Sure. I don't like the harder part of the lettuce (romaine lettuce evidently has this stalkish type part that I don't like as much as the thinner part) but otherwise it was quite tasty. Was it the most healthy thing for me? I doubt it, but it was better than some other things I could have had like a Turkey, bacon and swiss sandwich or something along those lines. I was talking with Scott (owner of Buena Bistro) about my goal to start eating healthier and he said sandwiches should be good, just don't get a lot of fried food and such. Wow, fried and friend are only one letter apart. Just discovered this while trying to type "fried." Anyway, that's the end of my story.
So I did part of my homework ... the part due next Monday ... and now I have to work on the stuff due Friday. The Bible as a literary source/story class is quite interesting but it also seems to have a heavy work load. The first test is on Wednesday of next week so I also have to start studying for it. He hasn't even mentioned the next test yet but I know it's coming. Fortunately, he gives all the test questions ahead of time (200 questions, he picks ... some) so I'll be prepared I hope. Some of the questions thus far were easy while others I was like, "uh ... :: flips through bible ::" You have to watch the wording on some of these because they can be tricky ... which I am against. Oh, I already wrote my paragraph explanation for what I'm doing in my Europe of the World Wars course. He'll probably hate it and tell me I'm an idiot for doing such an overused topic but I have not researched it yet and am interested to do so ... so hopefully he'll accept it.
Well this blog has turned out longer than I expected. This almost makes up for some people that don't blog as often as I do, :: coughs :: both Chris' and Mike just to name a few. I guess I had better get cracking on some of this work. If you're bored, call me. Thanks. Bye.
